Michael Burris' Band with Just a Bite Food Truck

It’s going to be a great first Friday of March with the Mike Burris Band returning to our slice of paradise here in Free Union! Featuring songwriter Mike Burris, Emily Morrison on keys/vocals, and Rusty Speidel on guitar/vocals. Friday, March 3rd, from 6 to 8:30pm. open to all. No cover.

Bio:
In his debut album, Goodbye Town singer-songwriter Mike Burris explores what it means to have lived a full life, replete with sorrows and joys, and to know that some of his best days are still to come. Written over the course of two decades, these reflective songs study familiar themes like difficult love (“Enough of That”) and loss (“Letting You Go”), and they swirl with notions of restlessness (“Dead End Things”) and place (“Familiar Ground” and “Goodbye Town”). But wisdom wins the day on this record, as the album arcs toward feelings of contentment (“Satisfied”) and finding one’s emotional center (“Long Life”).

Mike Burris describes his music as “country tinged roots rock” with a nod to Texas blues and a good pop hook. His music tends to resonate with fans of John Hiatt, Tom Petty, James McMurtry, and Jason Isbell.

More about the music/musicians — https://michaelclem.com/

During the cold weather season, the music is typically held inside our tropical glass conservatory. It’s truly a magical space to escape a cold winter’s day. On occasion, the music may take place outdoors, under the eaves of the back deck. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available first come, no reservations.

Picnics are welcome throughout the property, barring any outside alcohol. We have plentiful seating areas both inside the conservatory, and outdoors along the back deck, as well as in front of the conservatory, and there are several picnic tables spread across the lakefront. Feel free to bring your blankets/chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are permitted for use in the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas.

Glass House Winery wines are available by the bottle and glass, and traditional tastings are being conducted at the Tasting Room Bar. *WINE FLIGHTS ARE BACK ON THE MENU!* Great for those who prefer to do a self guided tasting, simply order at the bar and take back to your table.*

The following measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, as well as our staff:

We will be adhering to, and strictly enforcing, all requirements and guidelines as set forth by the Governor and the CDC, which include increased sanitization and cleaning procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.

We all know that music and dancing go hand in hand, however, if you are going to get up and groove to the tunes, we kindly ask that you stick to the vicinity of your seated area.

Children are welcome, please keep them with you at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated. Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.
