DESCRIPTION:Join us as we kick off the weekend with the “New Orleans boogie-woogie\, upbeat\, rhythm and blues” sounds of the CHICKENHEAD BLUES BAND. Performing live inside our tropical oasis\, the glass house conservatory! Friday\, August 28th\, from 6 to 8:30pm. No cover. Open to all. (*For those that like to plan ahead\, the Chickenhead Blues Band will be performing live every other month. Scheduled through the remainder of 2026 – the\n‘4th’ Friday of August\, and October\, and the ‘3rd’ Friday in December) \nBio:\nChickenhead Blues Band’s history begins in 1999 with weekly legendary Thursday evening shows playing blues tunes at Durty nelly’s pub. A few personnel changes led to the more fusion influenced repertoire presented now. You will hear a taste of New Orleans\, Jazz Crusaders\, Tom Scott and LA Express\, Jimi Hendrix mixed\, in with some original songs\, as well. \nBand members: \nAric van Brocklin – Guitar\nSkip Haga – Keyboards\nJeff Louderback – Drums\nJack Sheehan – Sax\nVic Brown – Bass \n(*Occasionally there are changes to band members and updates are made based on info received ahead of the scheduled date.) \nCanelos Burritos food truck to GHW&B will be back with us\, cooking up a menu of their crave worthy\, fresh and flavorful burritos with service beginning at 5:30pm.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563560040888 \nOur live music events typically take place within the beautiful space of the glass conservatory\, our indoor tropical oasis. On occasion\, the music may perform outdoors\, under the eaves of the back deck. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available first come\, no reservations. \nPicnics are welcome throughout the property\, barring any outside alcohol. We have plentiful seating areas indoors and outdoors\, across all areas of the winery/brewery property. Feel free to bring your blankets/chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are permitted for use in the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas. \nGlass House Winery wines (by glass or bottle) and Glass House Brewery beers (by pint glass) will be available at both the Tasting Room Bar and the Glass Theater Brewpub (during their respective operating hours detailed below). \nOur wine slushies are back and available in the Tasting Room all summer long! \nChildren are welcome\, please supervise them at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated. \nWell behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.

No cover. \nBand Bio:\n“Randall Ray\, Chris Leva and Burr Datz are veterans of the acoustic music scene in Nelson\, Albemarle and Rockbridge Counties. Proficient in bluegrass\, folk\, swing and original music\, they provide artistic entertainment for all generations with a repertoire of hundreds of songs. Randall is co-founder of Rockbridge Guitars\, and Chris and Burr are members of a half dozen bands\, including The ‘77z\, Ragged Mountain String Band\, The Oversteppers (Chris)- Walker’s Run- (Randall) and Wildgrass\, Caravan of Fools and Greenhouse (Burr).” \nOur live music events typically take place within the beautiful space of the glass conservatory\, our indoor tropical oasis.
