Royce Campbell and Friends
We are thrilled to host Royce Campbell and Friends performing live on our stage here in the tropics of Free Union. Bring your family and friends and your picnics, grab your favorite GHW&B wines and brews at the Tasting Room Bar, and head into the conservatory for an evening of fantastic jazz! Saturday, August 1st, from 5 to 8pm. Open to all. No cover.
Royce Campbell is a celebrated guitarist and jazz recording artist who had a 20-year career with the Henry Mancini Orchestra after touring twice with Marvin Gaye. He has been leader and key contributor to 35 CD albums over the years, and his resume includes performances with many jazz and pop musicians and bands including Marvin Gaye and Quincy Jones.
Tonight’s group includes Bob Bowen on bass, Jim Howe on drums, and Victor Lee on sax and flute. The primary focus of tonight’s set will be Royce Campbell originals as well as some jazz standards and Henry Mancini compositions.
Our live music events typically take place within the beautiful space of the glass conservatory, our indoor tropical oasis. On occasion, the music may perform outdoors, under the eaves of the back deck. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available first come, no reservations.
Picnics are welcome throughout the property, barring any outside alcohol. We have plentiful seating areas indoors and outdoors, across all areas of the winery/brewery property. Feel free to bring your blankets/chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are permitted for use in the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas.
Glass House Winery wines (by glass or bottle) and Glass House Brewery beers (by pint glass) will be available at both the Tasting Room Bar and the Glass Theater Brewpub (during their respective operating hours detailed below).
Our wine slushies are back and available in the Tasting Room all summer long!
Children are welcome, please supervise them at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated.
Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.
