Crewe d'Bayou with 106 Food Truck

Matty Metcalfe and Crewe d’Bayou plays ‘Pan-Bayou’ dance music for all ages! The band’s repertoire features many original compositions in addition to musical touchstones from many eras–including songs by Ray Charles, Professor Longhair, Dr. John, James Booker, and modern groups from Louisiana, Texas, and the Gulf Coast. Along with his ‘stride-piano’ virtuosity, Mr. Metcalfe plays a special electric accordion that, in addition to normal accordion voices, features organ, trumpet, clarinet, and harmonica sounds! New Orleans native Aric Van Brocklin’s soulful singing and slide/electric guitar leads add a distinctively bayou-borne flair while Paul Rosner (drums) and Mike Clem (bass) lay down the infectiously danceable groove. It is a sight to see and wonder to hear these fabulous musicians in Crewe d’Bayou, described as ‘the best New Orleans band this side of the Mississippi!’

106 Food Truck will be onsite helping with dinner plans.

Picnics are welcome, barring any outside alcohol. Glass House Winery wines and chocolates, as well as a variety of packaged foods, are available in the Tasting Room.

Doors open at noon and the n’awlins spirited fun will get rolling at 6:15pm.

The trio’s musical style relies heavily on tight three part harmonies, with all three members alternating as lead singers, with recently added percussionest Carl Moyer holding down the groove.

With a powerful vocal chemistry, and now in their ninth year of performing together, LOCAL VOCALS repertoire includes a wide variety of traditional classic acoustic rock of The Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Zack Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett along with familiar modern selections of The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Big Town and ambitious unplugged versions of pop and rock groups whose music spans nine decades.

Keyboardist Nick Cardoni brought increased musicality to the group and played on BMB’s debut album before trombonist Nathaniel Lee and guitarist/keyboardist Eric Knutson completed the lineup in 2017. Listen to Bobby Midnight Band’s latest single, “Right Back On It” on 106.1 The Corner and at www.rockfishmusic.com.

The four founding members Pat Burns, Dennis Moler, Marianne Carbocci, and Ray Carbocci had been getting together for a number of years for jam sessions.
