Band Bio:
Boxed Lunch is a Charlottesville VA based indie pop/rock band led by the melodic songwriting duo of Justin Storer (drums/vocals) and Joel Streeter (guitar/vocals), with help from Nick Berkin (keyboards/vocals), Emily Gardiner (vocals) and Zack Beamer (bass/vocals). Justin and Joel have been following each other around the country for years without knowing it, finally meeting and joining forces in 2018. Both formerly of San Francisco and Brooklyn, they share a love for The Beatles and a gift for classic songwriting. Justin has released two albums of original music — a solo record (Hot Water Sunday) and a record with his Americana quintet, The Working Effective (Dear Brooklyn) — and has toured both nationally and internationally. We’re in for a whopper of a sweet treat when the Gooey Gum Drops make their Glass House Winery debut. Self described as — An all-boy tribute to girl groups of the early 60s. This is the brainchild of the great Ramblin’ Davey Kulund. As Davey leads the charge with a thoughtful set of hits from The Ronettes, The Crystals, The Supremes, The Chordettes, The Shirelles, The Chiffons, etc… he’s corralled Matty Metcalfe on lead guitar, Justin Storer on drums, and Michael Clem on bass. With one show under their belt, the feedback was filled with manic screams & heaps of praise…. not to mention men’s underwear thrown on the stage.

Please note, weather permitting the music will be outdoors — set up under the eaves on the back deck. If necessary, music may move to inside the conservatory where there is limited seating. A passing light shower might be okay, but patrons should be prepared. (*cancellation due to inclement weather is possible, for status updates please check Facebook or phone the Tasting Room)

We have plenty of spaced seating areas, the majority of which is outdoors — all seating areas are first come, based on what is available. We also have lots of room for tailgate/picnics on the grass, also first come. We encourage you to bring your picnic blanket/ chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are also welcome to be used at the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas. Picnics are welcome, barring any outside alcohol.

There will be no service at the Tasting Room Bar from Friday at 5 pm through the weekend, EXCEPT for to go sales and wine club pick ups.

While we are not offering traditional tastings we have created several Wine Tasting Flights, including a Chocolate and a wine pairing flight.

The following measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, as well as our staff:
*Per the Governor’s orders…there will be no dance floor, and dancing is NOT allowed (as of this time).
