Local Vocals - No Food Truck

UPDATE: Unfortunately our scheduled food trucked had to cancel. Please feel free to bring outside food or picnics!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are thrilled to welcome back the Local Vocals to our local paradise here in Free Union! They’ll be entertaining all with their vast repertoire of favorites, spanning the last 6 decades…absolutely playing something for everyone! Friday, August 19th, from 6 to 8:30pm. Open to all. No cover.
Band Bio:
LOCAL VOCALS is an eclectic acoustic trio featuring the vocal stylings of Cindy Perfater, former lead singer with Charlottesville’s
Houserockers Band for over 25 years. Pat Burns, guitarist/vocalist formerly with The Kool Kats and City Lights; and Mike Perfater, guitarist/vocalist who spent nearly three decades with The Houserockers Band as its founder and leader. The trio’s musical style relies heavily on tight three part harmonies, with all three members alternating as lead singers, and with recently added percussionest Carl Moyer holding down the groove.
With a powerful vocal chemistry, and now in their ninth year of performing together, LOCAL VOCALS repertoire includes a wide variety of traditional classic acoustic rock of The Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Zack Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett along with familiar modern selections of The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Big Town and ambitious unplugged versions of pop and rock groups whose music spans nine decades.
Boxed Lunch is a Charlottesville VA based indie pop/rock band led by the melodic songwriting duo of Justin Storer (drums/vocals) and Joel Streeter (guitar/vocals), along with Emily Gardiner (vocals), Zack Beamer (bass/vocals) and Chad Page (lead guitar). Joel has two albums of his own, Hear Me Out and Matador, the latter of which features contributions by members of Counting Crows and Train, and was hailed by CD Baby as “a classic sounding pop album full of bounce, melodic arch, and lyrical substance.” As a solo artist, Joel has played iconic venues such as San Francisco’s Fillmore Auditorium (opening for Phil Lesh and Friends) and The Great American Music Hall.
The following measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, as well as our staff:
Fully vaccinated patrons may choose to not wear a face mask.
We will be adhering to, and strictly enforcing, all requirements and guidelines as set forth by the Governor and the CDC, which include increased sanitization and cleaning procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.
We all know that music and dancing go hand in hand, however, if you are going to get up and groove to the tunes, we kindly ask that you stick to the vicinity of your seated area.
Children are welcome but must stay with you at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated. Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.
