There will NOT be a food truck for this event (12/20). As always, we welcome you to bring your picnics, pick up take-out on your way, or put together a DYI Charcuterie plate with the assorted items that we carry in the Tasting Room – cheese, crackers, meats, tapenades, etc.

Our live music events typically take place within the beautiful space of the glass conservatory, our indoor tropical oasis. On occasion, the music may perform outdoors, under the eaves of the back deck. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available first come, no reservations.

Picnics are welcome throughout the property, barring any outside alcohol. We have plentiful seating areas both inside the conservatory, and outdoors along the back deck, as well as in front of the conservatory, and there are several picnic tables spread across the lakefront. Feel free to bring your blankets/chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are permitted for use in the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas.

Glass House Winery wines are available by the bottle and glass, and traditional tastings are being conducted at the Tasting Room Bar. Wine Flights are also available, these are great for those who prefer to do a self guided tasting, simply order at the bar and take back to your table.

Children are welcome, please supervise them at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated.

Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.

Boxed Lunch

For your dinnertime entertainment, we’re thrilled to have Boxed Lunch returning to our slice of paradise here in Free Union. Their awesome Indie Pop Rock sounds are sure to satisfy all of your musical cravings! Performing live, Saturday, March 1st, from 5 to 8pm. Open to all. No cover.

Band Bio:
Boxed Lunch is a Charlottesville VA based indie pop/rock band led by the melodic songwriting duo of Justin Storer (drums/vocals) and Joel Streeter (guitar/vocals), along with Emily Gardiner (vocals), and Zack Beamer (bass/vocals). Boxed Lunch is known for their high-energy live shows and killer harmonies.

Justin and Joel have been following each other around the country for years without knowing it, finally meeting and joining forces in 2018. Both formerly of San Francisco and Brooklyn, they share a love for The Beatles and a gift for classic songwriting. Justin has released two albums of original music — a solo record (Hot Water Sunday) and a record with his Americana quintet, The Working Effective (Dear Brooklyn) — and has toured both nationally and internationally. Joel has two albums of his own, Hear Me Out and Matador, the latter of which features contributions by members of Counting Crows and Train, and was hailed by CD Baby as “a classic sounding pop album full of bounce, melodic arch, and lyrical substance.” As a solo artist, Joel has played iconic venues such as San Francisco’s Fillmore Auditorium (opening for Phil Lesh and Friends) and The Great American Music Hall.

It’s going to be an amazing Sunday Fun Day here in our slice of paradise with beautiful music by La Tramontane. Sunday, March 9th from 2 to 5pm. No cover. Open to all.
{ cover photo credit – Steven Morris}

La Tramontane brings the music of the Mediterranean and Latin America to Glass House Winery with vocal-driven acoustic guitar and cello renditions of French, Spanish, and Portuguese songs by artists such as Edith Piaf, Lola Beltran, Melody Gardot, Cesária Evora, and others. They play a mix of French jazz and sea shanties, Mexican and Spanish folk, and other popular tunes.

Bandleader Rachel Austin has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Mexico and has performed with Kronos Quartet, the Irish National Symphony Orchestra, Nikki Scott (bassist for Van Morrison), and Dony Wynn (drummer for both Robert Palmer and Robert Plant). She has opened for such acts as Florence + the Machine, Fatoumata Diawara, and Rodrigo y Gabriela.

She is joined by local cellist legend Catherine Monnes of Night Teacher and Sally Rose fame, forming the band LA TRAMONTANE.

Rachel’s just back from taking in a lot of Flamenco in Spain, and Cath from the Miami dance scene. Their experiences will clearly be infused into their performance. La Tramontane hopes that their music inspires you to get up and let your spirit loose!

There will NOT be a food truck for this event (03/21). As always, we welcome you to bring your picnics, pick up take-out on your way, or put together a DIY Charcuterie plate with the assorted items that we carry in the Tasting Room – cheese, crackers, meats, tapenades, etc.

We have plentiful seating areas indoors and outdoors, across all areas of the winery/brewery property. Feel free to bring your blankets/chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are permitted for use in the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas.

Glass House Winery wines (by glass or bottle) and Glass House Brewery beers (by pint glass) will be available at both the Tasting Room Bar and the Glass Theater Bar (during their respective operating hours detailed below).

Traditional Wine Tastings and optional Wine Flights will only be offered at the Tasting Room Bar.

Children are welcome, please supervise them at all times.
Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated.

Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.

Operating Hours for the two venues on our property are as follows:
