Bio:
Paulien’s distinctive voice has been well known in Europe since the mid-nineties from several recordings she mostly did in French. Now, she pays hommage to the Great American Song Book and classic French chanson; the perfect blend of jazz and popular French music of the 20th century.
In the Charlottesville area she performs with well seasoned local musicians, who are not just backup for the vocals, but are integral to the performance as a whole. So close your eyes, open your ears and float on her rediscovered sound from Paris.

Bio:
In his debut album, Goodbye Town singer-songwriter Mike Burris explores what it means to have lived a full life, replete with sorrows and joys, and to know that some of his best days are still to come. Written over the course of two decades, these reflective songs study familiar themes like difficult love (“Enough of That”) and loss (“Letting You Go”), and they swirl with notions of restlessness (“Dead End Things”) and place (“Familiar Ground” and “Goodbye Town”). But wisdom wins the day on this record, as the album arcs toward feelings of contentment (“Satisfied”) and finding one’s emotional center (“Long Life”).
Mike Burris and his band will be playing songs from his upcoming release, “Goodbye Town” as well as a selection of Americana covers from John Hiatt, John Prine, Nick Lowe, Gillian Welch, and David
