Unfortunately, there will not be a food truck for this show. Picnics are always welcome, barring any outside alcohol. Or stop and pick up your favorite takeout on your way over.

Please note, weather permitting the music will be outdoors — set up under the eaves on the back deck. Glass House Winery owner Jay has recently added several fire pits along the deck adding a beautiful ambience as well as an aid to keep you cozy on the cooler days.

In the case of inclement weather:
~ the music may be canceled
~ the music may move into the tropical conservatory where, due to social distancing requirements, there is limited, spaced seating (with overflow seating on the covered deck)
~ if the music moves into the conservatory, there may be a need to downsize the number of band members
~ a passing light shower might be okay, but patrons should be prepared
Please check our Social Media posts or call the Tasting Room for an update.
We have plenty of spaced seating areas, the majority of which is outdoors — all seating areas are first come, based on what is available. We also have lots of room for tailgate/picnics on the grass, also first come.
We encourage you to bring your picnic blanket/ chairs. Pop up tents and personal grills are also welcome to be used at the overflow grassy tailgate and picnic areas. Picnics are welcome, barring any outside alcohol.
Groups over 8 wishing to sit together must phone ahead. Seating accommodations will be made based on what is available.
The Tasting Room Bar is closed from Friday at 5 pm through the weekend, EXCEPT for to go sales and wine club pick ups.
While we are not offering traditional tastings we have created several Wine Tasting Flights, including a Chocolate and a wine pairing flight.
The following measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests, as well as our staff:
Practice Social Distancing and please do not gather with others outside of your immediate group, for any reason. We kindly request that you wear face masks when not at your seating area, and face masks must be worn indoors when not at your seating area.
We will be adhering to, and strictly enforcing, all requirements and guidelines as set forth by the Governor and the CDC, which include increased sanitization and cleaning procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.
At all times, please maintain the minimum safe distance from those not in your group.
We all know that music and dancing go hand in hand, however, if you are going to get up and groove to the tunes, we kindly ask that you stick to the vicinity of your seated area and wear your mask while doing so.
Children are welcome but must stay with you at all times. Consider bringing along games or other items to entertain them while seated. Well behaved dogs are also welcome but must remain on their leash at all times.

The Dueling Tangoists – Matty Metcalfe and Peter Richardson
Jan 24 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
The Dueling Tangoists - Matty Metcalfe and Peter Richardson

Join us in the tropics of Free Union for a musical adventure with the Dueling Tangoists – Matty Metcalfe and Peter Richardson. Sunday, January 24th, from 2 to 5pm. Open to all, no cover.

Let the dueling Tangoists take you on a sonic exploration through the vibrant and vital Argentinian cultural landscape with their imaginative arrangements of these indelibly beautiful tunes that keep the heartbeat of the region ever-beating.

Peter Richardson is an accomplished and versatile guitarist who is equally facile performing jazz, Classical, and Latin inspired music. His rhythmic and harmonic layering provides an undercurrent upon which the beautiful tango melodies flow while his soaring leads and distinctive voicings connect listeners to the soul and spirit, the passion of the music.

With his accompanying accordion/piano harmonies in one hand and bass patterns in the other, Matty Metcalfe’s exquisitely evocative playing provides both intensity and virtuousity that lies at the heart of Tango music. His tonalities breathe with the shape of the vibrant melodic arcs and rhythms–whether playful or dark and mysterious–perking up both listeners ears and dancers feet as they dovetail and break away from Peter’s guitar pulsating undercurrents.

Please note, weather permitting the music will be outdoors — set up under the eaves on the back deck. Glass House Winery owner Jay has recently added several fire pits along the deck adding a beautiful ambience as well as an aid to keep you cozy on the cooler days.
